In the beginning, there were images
without words.

Then the words formed
and language rose
from naming the objects
to the level of abstract concepts.

Expression of emotions,
through indefinite sounds
transformed into logic.

Anger transformed into homicide,
power into intimidation,
and superiority into contempt.

Fear transformed into submission,
indifference into disdain,
and selfishness into lies.

Compassion transformed into forgiveness,
love into sacrifice,
and courage into heroism.
